To-date Tape Aids has recorded over 50, 000 book titles and operates 12 Service Centres nationwide with 28 studio production facilities where over 500 Volunteer readers, proof-readers and review editors record books and educational material. The main Circulation Library processes over 4000 audio books per day for its 6000 members nationwide via the South African Postal Services. Tape Aids' migration to digital formats together with its online downloadable audio books enables it to open whole new worlds not only for its members but also potentially millions of sighted children marginalized by institutional
