D & P Chemicals was established in 1991 by Dave and Pam Hammond, at the same time a decision was made to purchase WINMAR, a small distributor in Nelspruit dealing with abrasives and coatings. The name synonymous with the Lowveld became D & P Chemicals trading as WINMAR. The company was born out of a desire to supply chemicals, coatings, specialized construction material and personal protective equipment while providing technical back up to the retail and construction industry. Dave has been involved for many years in the industry and his expertise on specialized construction materials is well known. Pam keeps the business running smoothly and super-efficiently as well as heading up the safety division.

Amtec was established in 2001 and quickly expanded into a multi-disciplined, diversified company that offers the different components required for the completion of a successful and cost effective construction project within the Industrial, mining, water & private industry. projects completed to date have varied between one million rand and up to one hundred million rand. Amtec is committed to transformation with 51% of ownership being black owned and 30. 6% Black women owned and a proud Level 1 certified B-BBEE company.
