The Centurion Council for the Aged also comprises of a home care service: 10 Freelance nurses, 5 Freelance social workers, 2 Freelance occupational therapists, 1 Freelance physiotherapist, 150 Trained voluntary workers. Subsidised meals for pensioners on recommendation of the social workers. The Council comprises of the service of a private medical practitioner whose services can be recovered from the patient's medical funds. Payment for these services is done on a sliding scale, form 20% to 80%, according to the income of the person.
