PCI Africa (Paterson Candy International) is a registered South African company (established in 1953), specialising in the treatment of potable (drinking) water, and waste (sewage) water. Pre-engineered (package type) plants were developed to meet the increased demand for pre-fabricated water treatment plants, for both community, and institutional water supplies, especially in rural environments. Because of their basic design and robust pre-fabricated components, they can be quickly and easily installed on site, thus eliminating (as far as possible) costly civil engineering work, and saving establishment time. These package type plants, (which range in size, from 4 m³ / hr to 800 m³ / hr), are capable of being operated by unskilled personnel, and require the minimum of attendance and maintenance.
