Macsteel Coil Processing is one of the leading coil and flat sheet processing facilities in Southern Africa.

The Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) branch was opened in 2001 after the acquisition of Baldwins Steel late 2000. Since then, the branch has seen three major extensions to the facility and now boasts some of the most technologically advanced steel processing equipment in the country. The 30 000m2 facility offers the full range of automotive steel to its customers. Our location, in close proximity to the Port Elizabeth and Coega ports, eases the importing of increasingly complex grades of automotive steel. The facility is ideally located to service automotive, and component manufacturers in Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage and East London. We also cater for the general steel industry and process steel on behalf of customers.

Its vast product range includes: *Light, medium and heavy profile sections (long products), hot rolled sheet and coil and plate, cold rolled sheet and coils in various surface finishes, galvanised sheet and coil, structural tube and pipe, cladding and roofing products, rails, cold sawing of long products, including precision mitre cutting, cellular and castellated beam manufacture, hand-railing systems, expanded metal, floor grating, welded mesh and radex sections. *Pipes and fittings, which include galvanized, black, steam, stainless, welded and seamless steel pipes, fittings and flanges to all grades and specifications.

Macsteel VRN is the leading supplier and processor of speciality carbon plate, which includes wear and impact resistant, high strength, pressure vessel and marine grades of steel. In addition, Macsteel VRN is the major supplier of stainless steel and various aluminium products in the market. Macsteel VRN's central stock warehouse and its two main service centres (carbon service centre and stainless steel service centre) located in Roodekop, Germiston, operate specialised world-class processing equipment consisting of flame, plasma and laser cutting services.
