Namirembe Riding School specialises in teaching children and beginners of all ages to ride horses. We provide a basic general riding education in dressage, equitation and jumping. We aim to give our riders a good foundation on which to go into any riding discipline. We also teach how to look after your horse or pony, how to feed, groom, clean stables and tack and that your horse is a wonderful living being that should be respected and loved. We offer pony camps during holidays. We also provide stabling and paddock livery. We have occasional little shows to teach our riders what to expect if they want to compete. Run by a qualified SANEF instructor. We also have a bay Lippizaner stallion, Namirembe Conversano Strana standing at stud. He produces big foals with amazing movement and highly intellegent, friendly charaters.

Joan Harmsen, owner of Byerley Park Stables, is a S. A. N. E. F. (South African National Equestrian Federation) qualified instructor as well as a THS qualified judge, and has been working with horses since 1979. Our primary aim here at Byerley Park Stables is to provide a safe, wholesome environment for children to discover a love for animals and the great outdoors, as an alternative to spending time in front of the television or in the mall. We offer the following facilities to owners and baiters and riding school pupils: Riding Pupils: Top quality instruction in all disciplines for all ages, from beginner to advanced level. Supervised out rides through the Linbro Park country side. Canter track and cross country jumps. Regular shows held at Byerley Park Stables to enable all our enterprising "Gonda Beatrix's" to see how they are progressing. Regular outings to outside shows for the more competitive riders.
