Southern Drill is a manufacturing business that supplies equipment to the drilling industry, mainly in South Africa but also to almost all Southern African Development Community states. The company supplies two categories of drilling products, namely borehole casing and drill rods. The strength of Southern Drill is built around the excellent drill rods, which are made using a unique welding process. This ensures that the rods are used until they are drilled to a point where they are under-size and need to be replaced - having given the drilling contractor above-average metres drilled per rod.

The 1500m2 facility is equipped with hi-tech CNC machines that are fully integrated into the CAD / CAM manufacturing process. We are extremely proud of our facility and it is one of the most advanced drill bit manufacturing plants in South Africa. Due to highly advanced manufacturing capabilities, VULA can offer a range of drill bits that covers 28mm - 51mm in taper bits and 38mm -127mm in threaded bits. VULA also supply 22mm Hex and 25mm Hex tapered drill steel.
