    Went there for coffee and cake It was well served with a very friendly waitress. Went there a second time and was very happy with the food. Look out for the smoking pipe collection

    Sat in the fantastic garden area and enjoyed a great South African breakfast with good service. The boerewors was particularly tasty and coffee was just right.

    We stopped here for breakfast but more fascinating isnthe collection of very beautiful handmade pipes. Do have a word with the owner if he is available. Passionate and lovely craftsmanship

    Another pleasant surprise. We had breakfast here while passing through. My hubby had a normal egg & bacon and I had one of their delicious omelettes. Definitely worth a visit

    Calitzdorp is not a pretty town. And it's one where you usually pass through, not even stop. But we stopped and had a coffee - and a piece of the most divine chocolate cake. The service wasn't great...

She is one of the grand old dames of the valley; a 100-and-something year-old manor house that guards Riebeek Kasteel's south-eastern entrance on Hermon Road. Her exact age is a mystery, courtesy of a fire that destroyed the building plans at Malmesbury municipality in the early part of the 20th century. She's been sleeping guests, feeding strangers and quenching thirsts for almost two decades and as far as we can gather we are the fourth set of owners to open her doors. In doing so, we gave her a complete facelift. "This is no ordinary restaurant, bar and guest house. Mexican angels live here. So does a huge chairman Mao. It is a captivating place.
