We were on holiday and decided to return home via Prince Alfreds Pass. The pass is spectacular and fairly scary in some parts. We left early and had heard about Angies G Spot so decided to stop there...

If you have on a tie or afraid to get dirty you may skip this whole in the wall. For me best place to relax and have fun. Just sit back and eat an drink. Off the grid an great place to run away.

An interesting place set in a tranquil valley. Stop if you are passing, but not worth a detour. Shame about the noise from the generator.

whenever we drive from Plett to Uniondale over the mountains - we do stop at Angie’s spot. It is very special, an atmosphere between late hippies, bikers, country life and very friendly.

A brilliant scenic drive down the Prince Albert Pass finds one at Angie's G Spot. Quirky and different, this rustic assembly of ramshackle buildings hides a treasure of experiences like few other...

There's always a welcoming spot for all our customers, the place is alive with laughter and talking and music. Plates, cutlery, and glasses clink, the staff heads down, moving swiftly and in the zone. There's a buzz that's just going off. We're proud of the restaurant we've created and the community of staff and customers who have become good friends. Most of all, we're proud that we can share our passion for great, fine french food with a Welgemoed twist and look forward to seeing you soon.

Riebeek Kasteel, South Africa
She is one of the grand old dames of the valley; a 100-and-something year-old manor house that guards Riebeek Kasteel's south-eastern entrance on Hermon Road. Her exact age is a mystery, courtesy of a fire that destroyed the building plans at Malmesbury municipality in the early part of the 20th century. She's been sleeping guests, feeding strangers and quenching thirsts for almost two decades and as far as we can gather we are the fourth set of owners to open her doors. In doing so, we gave her a complete facelift. "This is no ordinary restaurant, bar and guest house. Mexican angels live here. So does a huge chairman Mao. It is a captivating place. Lots of yum right here... simple comfort food, slow-cooked, very South African, stylishly presented... The coolest country spot outside Cape Town. ? ? ? - Country Life, October 2016
