The locations of the Beefmaster cattle and lamb feedlots have been specially chosen with strict geographical considerations in mind. Situated near the town of Christiana in the North West Province of South Africa, our two separate feedlots - one for cattle and one for lamb - are in the heart of South Africa's cattle country. Good overall seasonal temperatures and ample rainfall make this an ideal area to raise the top class animals we strive for. The Vel River is also close by and this means a plentiful and regular supply of water. Cattle and lamb are sourced throughout southern Africa. Upon arrival each animal is individually assessed to determine the optimum regimen required to bring it up to Beefmaster standards. One of the most important factors with new arrivals is to reduce stress levels as far as possible.
