Our farm is situated in Skeerpoort, a village at the foot of the majestic Magaliesberg mountains and we are open six days a week from 8h00 to 17h00. We are closed on Tuesdays. We have a restaurant and full function facilities for weddings, family outings, corporate functions, team building and any kind of festive occasion. Tailor made proposals can be arranged like lunches for tour groups, picnics and wine tasting. Besides our restaurant we can offer you a lovely relaxing picnic on the banks of the Skeerpoort river. The picnic hampers must be booked at least a day in advance. Any quantity of cheese can be bought at the Farm Shop, as well as a selection of wine, preserves, souvenirs, a range of Dutch favorites, sweets, odds and ends. Bookings are essential.

Perl Mountain Nature Reserve has a range of picnic sites scattered near caves, waterfalls, huge granite rocks, and reservoirs.

Meandering through Doolhof Estate is the picturesque Kromme River, which is supplemented by Gawie-se-Water. The River Walk, which was created in 2007, allows visitors to enjoy the scenic views on offer at Doolhof. One can follow the meandering path for several kilometres and stop at any one of the designated picnic sites along the walk. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a 10km walk through the vineyards. Doolhof, which is known for its mysterious hills and vales, is also home to many small mammals, including buck, porcupine, baboons and even leopard and who knows - you might even come across the Minotaur! There is an easy, short 450m walk in the forest beneath the huge tree ferns and small trickling streams. The forest floor path can be slippery so do be careful when walking over tree roots and logs. Another a slightly more strenuous walk takes visitors to the incredibly beautiful Spitzkop viewpoint overlooking the Knysna Heads. The Oude Molen Eco Village provides a swimming pool, picnic and brei facilitiesis to the public. Open from Tuesday to Friday for private function use as per client requests, i. e: schools, churches, team building & old age homes etc. Open over weekends for all to enjoy. Bookings essential!

Mitchell Park Zoo, also known as Mitchell Park or Mitchell's Park, is situated in the Morningside suburb of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Holding claim to being the only zoo in Durban, Mitchell Park was initially established as an ostrich farm in 1910. After an unprofitable start, other animals were introduced and it became home to many large animals; most notably an Indian Elephant called Nellie, who was given to the zoo by the Maharajah of Mysore in 1928. She could blow a mouth organ and crack coconuts with her feet.

Drupkelders - loosely translated into Dripping Cellars, are rock pools in the Knysna forest. Combine a 3. 5km indigenous forest walk with a visit to magnificent rock pools in the Homtini River in the Knysna Forest. These massive rock pools offer deep, cola-coloured waters to cool off in and even a waterfall to clamber up next to (to another series of pools) . Take a rucksack with picnic and swimming things and wear good walking shoes as there is a steep section near the river. Due to the exclusivity of this gem, only 12 persons a day are allowed in and a Sanparks permit is required (Wildcards are not accepted for this walk) . It is not expensive and you are required to keep the permits on you should officials ask you for it by the rock pools. This trail starts at the Forest Edge Nature-lovers Retreat gate entrance. Oliewenhuis Art Museum is surrounded by beautiful gardens and 12 hectares of natural vegetation, offering picnic spots and access to 4 walking trails. The Oliewenhuis Art Museum, a satellite of the National Museum, is located in one of the most magnificent gardens in Bloemfontein. It is the only museum of its kind in the Free State and one of the youngest art museums in the country. While it is called a museum, it is in fact an art gallery with both permanent and temporary exhibitions, a restaurant, and 12 hectares of gardens. Named after the abundance of wild olives growing on the surrounding hills, Oliewenhuis is housed in a 1941 Neo-Dutch style mansion that was converted into an Art Museum in 1985. Explore the permanent collection of South African art, as well as temporary exhibitions and the unique underground Reservoir gallery. Other highlights include the Blind Alphabet and the functional Cement and Mosaic sculptures in the gardens.

Bophirima, once known as Stellaland, is situated in the unadulterated splendour of the North West Province of South Africa.
