The National Eisteddfod Academy (NPC), a registered Non Profit Company established in 1997, is an arts development platform for young and young at heart performers. The NEA has established and developed the traditional eisteddfod into a no-limitations project. This project offers various opportunities to performers in all communities for participation, development and showcasing of their talents in music, dance, theatre and fine arts. Over the past 21 years, the work of the NEA, with the support of various sponsors and communities, has had a significant impact on youth development in the arts. Since 2001 the annual National Eisteddfod activities in various rural and urban regions, have attracted in excess of 210 000 entries, involving more than 514 000 participants as well as an estimated 800 000 + family members and other supporters. For many participants, the National Eisteddfod events also became a springboard for future achievements.
