Sedibeng District Municipality comprises the Emfuleni, Lesedi and Midvel Local Municipalities. It is situated on the southern tip of Gauteng province and strategically located on the border of three other provinces, namely Free State, North West and Mpumalanga. Amathole District Municipality is situated in the central part of the Eastern Cape stretching along the Sunshine Coast from the Fish River Mouth, along the Eastern Seaboard to just south of Hole in the Wall along the Wild Coast.
