We are a hospital based Palliative Care Service within Victoria Hospital and not an NPO. We are part of the Western Cape Department of Health, but funding which is required comes through the Victoria Hospital Facility Board. Majority of our patients are referred from the departments within the hospital, but we also accept referrals from the Community Health Centre's in our Southern Sub-district. We deal with all patients irrespective of diagnosis and will assist where possible. We do not provide 24 hour nursing care and have no beds. Our patients are Victoria Hospital patients.
