The current Imhoff Waldorf School was founded in 1996 on Imhoff Farm with only one class and one teacher. It is one of eighteen Waldorf Schools in South Africa and over 1000 worldwide. It has grown into a community that encompasses a Parent and Child circle, a Toddler Group, two Playgroup classes, three Kindergarten classes and a Primary School. Rooted in environmental conservation, our school is situated amongst the trees in proximity to an animal farm, providing a unique rural experience not often found within our present urban environment. We are completely powered by solar and wind power and enrolled in WESSA'S (Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa) Eco school's project. We obtained our eco school international green flag in 2011.

Everything we do is aimed at ensuring that all people in South Africa have access to basic communication services at affordable prices. In terms or our licence agreements, operators have to roll out services in under-serviced areas and we ensure that licensees contribute to the Universal Service and Access Fund....
