The SAOU is a teachers' union, dedicated to the highest universal values and values of service delivery. We are a strong professional body with the power to negotiate salaries and conditions of service with the employer, and to represent members in grievances and disputes. Maintaining sound relations with the employer and other unions is also important to us. SAOU members are provided with, among others, valuable financial services. Ons is 'n sterk beroepsliggem met die mag om vergoeding en diensvoorwerdes met die werkgewer te beding, en om namens lede in die geval van griewe en dispute op te tree. Om goeie verhoudings met die werkgewer en ander onderwysersunies te handhef is vir ons ook belangrik. SAOU-lede word met, onder andere, werdevolle finansiële dienste voorsien. Lede word nooit in die duister gelet nie.
