Other provinces or regions in South Africa have recreational hunters’ associations, game ranchers’ associations, clay-target shooting associations etc, all as seperate entities. In the Eastern Cape, there is one association that hosts all role-players in the safari industry, namely East Cape Game Management Association (ECGMA) . It was established in 1980, and total membership counts at well over 1200 members, of which the majority are recreational hunters. The latter division has branches in various regions.
