A group camp comprising three fully equipped self- catering chalets of 3 bedrooms each. Also three fully equipped sleeping halls with six beds each, for groups sleeping a total of 18. Separate ablution facilities and fully equipped kitchen. There is also a small conference facility and lapa within the complex. Camping at the angling area. A thatched hunting camp on the reserve can be hired as a unit offering a peaceful environment in the centre of the reserve. There is no electricity at this camp which is powered by solar panels.

Sa Lombard nature reserve was one of the earliest wildlife conservation research centres in South Africa and is credited with having saved the black wildebeest from extinction in the wild. The reserve is an important breeding centre for Plains animals, including Springbok, black wildebeest, red Hartebeest and zebra. The reserve conserves a small area of open Kalahari grassland on an unusual flood plain. Game viewing is made simple by the almost total lack of trees. Location: the reserve is located 17 km west of Bloemhof on the R34 to Schweizer- Reneke. To reach the reserve take the R34 west from Bloemhof for 5 km and turn left for 6. 4 Km to the entrance gate. The crater of a long extinct volcano is the setting of Pilanesberg National Park - a fascinating alkaline complex produced by volcanic eruptions some 1300 million years ago. Pilanesberg is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its kind in the world. Its rare rock types and structure make it a unique geological feature. The area is fringed by three concentric ridges or rings of hills - the formation rises from the surrounding plains like a bubble. The structure of the park is termed the "Pilanesberg National Park Alkaline Ring Complex". Ancient, even by geological time scales, this extinct volcano is the most perfect example of an alkaline ring complex. Wolwespruit Nature Reserve

Wolwespruit is one of the least known of the North West parks and has retained much of the appeal of the natural riverine environment. It also conserves a variety of plains game. Each chalet at Mountain Sanctuary Park sleeps 4 people comfortably. Bedding is not supplied but can be arranged with the office at an additional fee. All the chalets are self catering and come fully equipped. All chalets have their own heaters for those who feel the cold easily (two have fire-places as well) . The log cabins, which are the latest addition to the reserve, are raised on stilts to afford a breathtaking view of the valley and the lower reserve. These cabins sleep eight people comfortably and are fully equipped with everything that you could want and need, including fire-places.
